β reversible α polymorphous transformation and polydomain structure of germanium telluride

Description

New experimental data on the investigation of GeTe domain structure are presented. The investigations are carried out in the alloy of germanium telluride with 50.4 at.% Te. The results that prove the suggested model of a two-stage formation of polydmain microstructure germanium telluride are obtained. Twin domains are formed during stress relaxation on the two-phase β-α-boundary at the t nsformation moment, while domain fragmentation is the consequence of stress relaxation accumulated due to the anisotropic compression of the α-lattice
