Osteotropic radionuclides in assessment of treatment of tumor metastases to the skeleton

Description

Results of dynamic examination in patients with different tumor neoplasms and secondary changes in the skeleton, subjected to antitumor treatment, were analyzed. It is shown that the method of radionuclide bone visualization surpasses the roentgenologic one with respect to information content. The method enables to reveal opportunely pathologic changes in bone tissue, applying osteotropic radionuclides, applying osteotropic radionuclides, and thus to use a variant of treatment or correct it in each particular case. It was established that the best treatment effect on metastatic skeleton in ury is observed during combined treatment. The worst effect is observed for isolated medicinal therapy
