Influence of scandium content on structure and superplasticity indices of aluminium alloys of Al-Zn-Mg-Sc-Zr system

Description
The influence of scandium content from 0 to 0.39 on recrystallization and superplasticity indices of 01970 type alloys has been studies. Slabs made of the alloy containing no less than 0.2% scandium show high superplasticity indices at 475 deg C and strain rate of 8x10-3 sec-1. These slabs are in a nonstructure is formed at the expense of dynamic recrystallization in the early stages of superplastic deformation
