Embrittlement profile in the fracture plane of irradiated CT100 specimens

Description
In order to get more information about the embrittlement profile induced by fast neutrons in the fracture planes of CT100 specimens, which were orientated parallel to the irradiation direction, the relevant specimen volume was replaced by charpy-V notch specimens. The irradiation was performed behind a gamma shield of tungsten in a reflector position of FRG-2, a swimming pool type reactor operating at 15 MW. First evaluations show no significant embrittlement profile for the 'Low Shelf Test Melt KS 07B', similar to 22NiMoCr37 but out of the specification. Additional investigation of the steel KS 12 (20MnMoNi55) are in progress. (orig.)

Um mehr Informationen ueber die durch schnelle Neutronen hervorgerufenen Versproedungsprofile in Bruchflaechen von CT 100-Proben zu erhalten, die parallel zur Bestrahlungsrichtung ausgerichtet waren, wurde das entsprechende Proben-Volumen durch Charpy-Spitzkerbproben ersetzt. Die Bestrahlung wurde hinter einem Gamma Schirm aus Wolfram in einer Reflektorposition des FRG-2 durchgefuehrt. Erste Auswertungen zeigen keine wesentlichen Versproedungsprofile fuer die Testschmelze KS 07B, einem Stahl aehnlich wie der Stahl 22NiMoCr37, aber mit abweichender chemischer Zusammensetzung.
