The paper presents a synthesis of the work carried out by CITON in the field of aging management in components relating to safety. The following items are emphasized: - general effects of aging on specific components; - system inter-correlation to ensure plant safety; - component condition monitoring to ensure a continual surveillance of their actual status and trend; - general program for aging management from safety point of view; - data acquisition and formation of an Aging Database; - main aspects of data processing.
