Description

We have measured the anisotropy in the superconducting energy gap in a single crystal of YNi2B2C using directional point contact spectroscopy. The measured energy gap along c crystallographic direction is 4.5 times larger than the gap along the a direction. Our results provide strong evidence for s+g symmetry in this system. (author)
