Interaction of boric acid with hexamethylenetetramine

Description
The interaction of boric acid with hexamethylene tetramine is investigated. It has been found that in case of varying mol ratio of components from 3-1 to 1-3 from aqueous solutions hexamethylenetetramine polyborate is precipitated having the C6H12N4-2.5B2O3x4H2O composition and containing cyclic anion with three- and four-coordinated boron atoms
