Description
Two patients with intramuscular myxoma (IMM) were evaluated preoperatively using radiography and computed tomography (CT). In both patients CT demonstrated a homogeneous mass with an attenuation value (density) slightly greater than water but less than surrounding muscle. Dystrophic amorphous calcification, previously unreported in this condition, was present in one case. The differential diagnosis of low density intramuscular masses is discussed. (orig.)
