On the formulation and numerical application of a tensor neutron diffusion theory

Creators

Description

The range of applicability of diffusion theoretical methods of calculation can be extended significantly by using the quasidiffusion tensor concept. This concept is formulated in a suitable way. Approximate formulae are derived for calculating the space-dependent tensor elements in a simplified manner. Their efficiency is demonstrated with the aid of some examples. (author)
