Description

The basic mechanisms of the interaction between two baryons in a nucleus are discussed in the light of electronuclear reaction studies. The pion exchange mechanism, which dominates at large distances, has been singled out. A study of the NΔ interaction, which enters the description of the intermediate range part, is presented. Evidences found for effects due to the quark structure of the nucleon are discussed. They involve the short distance structure of the nucleus. (Auth.)
