Improved PWR reload fuel demonstration assemblies in Ringhals 4
Description
Four improved assemblies with zircaloy grids, removable top nozzles and gadolinia as a burnable poison were inserted in Ringhals 4 in 1984. At a visual inspection in 1985 the assemblies showed no signs of deterioration. Comparison between calculations and measurements show good agreement. A full reload with assemblies of this type is scheduled for insertion in Ringhals 3, 1986
