Anomalous cascades in X-ray emulsion chambers
Creators
Description
Search for anomalous cascades detected simultaneously in the upper part of a standard ''Pamir'' X-ray emulsion chamber - G unit (lead of 5 cm thickness) and its lower part N unit (carbon layer of 69 gxcm-2+detector with 4 cm lead) has been performed. 1731 electron-photon cascades, among which approximately 9% penetrates inside the chamber depth, are analyzed. It is impossible such quantity of penetrating cascades to explain with common electromagnetic and nuclear processes which can serve as an indication to a possibility of the new type particle generation
