Description
The stage of spontaneous flame propagation in the degenerate carbon-oxygen stellar core is considered. An estimate of the critical temperature of the thermal instability development is obtained. The structure and evolution of the spontaneous burning front is studied analytically and numerically for the isentropic temperature profile. At the final stage of spontaneous flame propagation the pressure, density and velocity of matter reach the Chapman-Jouguet detonation values
