Experimental investigation of the mechanism of absolute parametric instabilty of an inhomogeneous plasma

Description
The general properties of absolute parametric instability in a magnetoactive inhomogeneous plasma is investigated for the particular case of the l→l'+s decay. UHF probing of the exciting ion-acoustic sound is carried out and the role of the feedback loop in the excitation is revealed which is related to the inhomogeneity of the plasma and multimode nature of the pumping wave
