High-frequency EPR of Cr2+ ions in CdGa2S4

Description
Admixture centers of bivalent chromium in CdGa2S4 crystal is studied through method of high-frequency wide-band EPR within the range of 65-240 GHz at T = 4.2 K. It is revealed that EPR spectra have tetragonal symmetry. The spin Hamiltonian is used for describing the observed spectra. Conclusion is made that chromium ions occupy one of tetrahedrally coordinated cation positions
Abstract (Russian)
Методом высокочастотного широкополосного ЭПР в диапазоне 65-240 ГГц при Т = 4.2 К исследованы примесные центры двухвалентного хрома в кристалле CdGa2S4. Обнаружено, что спектры ЭПР имеют тетрагональную симметрию. Для описания наблюдаемых спектров использован спиновой гамильтониан. Сделан вывод о том, что ионы хрома занимают одну из тетраэдрически координированных катионных позицийAdditional details
