European Hadron Facility
Description
The European Hadron Facility (EHF) is a new research facility for nuclear and particle physics which is proposed for Western Europe in the 1990's. It consists of a complex of accelerators to produce a high-intensity (100 μA) proton beam of 30 GeV kinetic energy, and is meant to provide a broad range of intense, high-quality secondary beams of neutrinos, muons, pions, kaons and antiprotons. A distinctive feature of this machine is that it has been designed to accelerate polarized proton beams to full energy
