Chemical reactions of MoCl5 with silica surface
Description
The role of active centers of silicon oxide surface (structural hydroxyl groups and siloxane bridges) in MoCl5 chemical reactions during gas-phase modification of SiO2 was studied. The formation of grafted molybdenum chloride groups, thermally unstable, was taken place in the both loses. Chlorosilyl groups and velatile molybdenum oxychloride were formed at elevated temperature
