Mutations induced in Phaseolus vulgaris L. beans with gamma radiation
Description
Milionario 1732 black bean seeds were submitted to six gamma radiation doses (0, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 Krads) with the following purposes: color modifications; obtaining other mutants for use as genetic labels; to compare the relative efficiency of gamma radiation and the ethyl methanesulfonate in terms of chlorophyll mutations frequency and color; to proceed and a preliminary analysis of the chimera structure of the plants. 82 refs., 1 fig., 10 tabs
