Realization and dissemination of the unit of absorbed dose to water in the dose range of radiation therapy
Description
The realization of the unit of the water absorbed dose by means of the ferrous sulphate (Fricke) solution is described as well as the dissemination and the transfer to other than calibration conditions with ionization chambers and the Fricke system. In each step of the procedures described, a replacement of the existing systems with ESR/alanine is investigated, a comparison of the properties and characteristics of the ESR/alanine and the Fricke system for quality control in dosimetry is included.
