Entropy generation in viscous gluon hydrodynamics

Description

The amount of entropy generated in the phase transition from quark-gluon plasma to hadrons is estimated using an analytic description of results from from lattice gauge theories. Consequences of this are discussed in the framework of one dimensional hydrodynamic expansion on the basis of Bjorken's scaling solution. It is shown that the large viscosity values considerably slow dawn the cooling rate near Tc
