A prototype diagnostic aid for a tank monitoring system
Description
A prototype model-based diagnostic aid is described which provides both a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved using model-based diagnosis and a reasonable starting point for producing a plant implementation. The term prototype is used to denote the fact that the aid's plant interfaces have not been configured to communicate with a real plant but with files, its user interface has not been tailored to user requirements and the software has not been produced to any recognised standard. Other than this, the aid is complete. The prototype is built round a G2 based kernel for ease of development and to demonstrate what is now possible using readily available, well-supported, commercial software development environments.
