The superconducting transition temperature of TaSe3 under uniaxial tension
Description
The superconducting transition temperature, Tsub(c), of TaSe3 was found to increase under uniaxial tension parallel to the chain axis with the rate +(200 +- 30) [mK/%]. Comparing with the decrease of Tsub(c) under hydrostatic pressure, the large anisotropy of the stress dependence on Tsub(c) was obtained. This anisotropy may be explained in terms of an anisotropy of the chemical bonding within the layers in TaSe3. (orig.)
