Post-Irradiation Examination of FE 433 (23C)
Description
This report records the irradiation history and post-irradiation examination of the longest irradiation experiment containing Sol Gel (Th,U)O2 coated particles compacted to fuel bodies. After 823 d of irradiation the fuel reached a burn-up of ∼10% FIMA, an average peak fuel temperature above 1200°C, and a peak fast neutron dose of ∼4 x 1021 n cm-2 DNE.
