Description

Physical Protection System (PPS) is one of important components in the implementation of nuclear security. PPS consists of three components which are equipment, personnel and procedures. As one of the SPF components that play a role in determining the effectiveness of the SPF, personnel must have sufficient knowledge, skill and good attitude so he could protect nuclear materials and nuclear facilities from theft, sabotage and other malevolent human attack. To increase the security of personnel competency in that field, one of the steps that can be taken is through training. Effective training must start with a good training design. By using Systematical Approach to Training (SAT) method, there has been conducted a training design for PPS of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities. The training scheme consists of 3 level of training i.e. PPS training for basic level: Introduction to PPS, intermediate level: Design and Evaluation of PPS and advanced level: Analysis and Assessment of PPS respectively. Each level of training has a curriculum for 36-45 hours of lessons. (author)
