Description
Retina functional modifications were evaluated after γ irradiation of rabbit eyes at doses of 1000, 1500 and 2000 rads, by studying the electrical potential recorded as the electroretinogram (ERG). Preliminary results emphasize the following topics: at the doses used, radiation damage to retina are perfectly exhibited by the ERG; modifications of amplitude and latency concern a-wave and b-wave, as also oscillatory potentials. Chez des lapins irradies a 1000, 1500 et 2000 rads, on a etudie les modifications fonctionnelles de la retine en suivant l'evolution de l'electroretinogramme (ERG) apres une irradiation γ strictement localisee a l'oeil. Les resultats preliminaires font ressortir les points suivants: aux doses utilisees, les alterations retiniennes sont parfaitement decelables par l'ERG; les modifications d'amplitude et de latence concernent aussi bien l'onde a que l'onde b ainsi que les potentiels oscillatoires.
