Determination of plasma column transverse section in the TBR-1 tokamak
Description
The temporal evolution of plasma column transverse section in the TBR-1 tokamak is determined. The experimental melhod is based on the simulation of toroidal current distribution in plasma by a set of toroidal filaments. The currents in these filaments are determined by minimization of square error between the magnetic field produced by filaments and the field measured into the tokamak vacuum vessel. For the measurement of magnetic field, twenty small magnetic coils were constructed and installated in the region protected by current limiters. The plasma column transverse cross section is determined by poloidal field produced by the currents in filaments. The multipole moments of plasma current distribution and the Λ Shafranov parameter were obtained. (M.C.K.)

Determina-se a evolucao temporal da secao transversal da coluna de plasma no tokamak TBR-1. O metodo experimental e baseado na simulacao da distribuicao de corrente toroidal no plasma por um conjunto de filamentos toroidais. As correntes nestes filamentos sao determinadas pela minimizacao do erro quadratico entre o campo magnetico produzido pelos filamentos e o campo medido no interior do vaso de vacuo do tokamak. Para a medida do campo magnetico, vinte pequenas bobinas magneticas foram construidas e instaladas na regiao protegida pelo limitador de corrente do tokamak. A secao transversal da coluna de plasma e determinada atraves do campo poloidal roduzido pelas correntes nos filamentos toroidais. Os momentos de multipolo da distribuicao de corrente de plasma e o parametro A de Shafranov que engloba o beta poloidal e a indutancia interna dacoluna de plasma sao obtidos. (autor)Files
