Some Swedish examples in the nuclear field
Creators
Description
Under pressure from public debate in the media and from the political parties, Sweden has scrutinized nuclear power from all aspects. The work on the safe storage of spent fuel is well known and accepted in Sweden. The safety of the operation of nuclear power plants has also been subject to many investigations and proved to be superior to all real alternatives. This satisfactory position is the result of a technical development and of an almost continuous interaction between utilities, elected representatives, consumers and public authorities
