Diagenesis of lower cretaceous system and forecasting on uranium mineralization in Zhenyuan area

Description
Aimed at forecasting uranium mineralization prospect, research on lithological features, diagenetic succession and surroundings of uranium mineralization were conducted by using combinative method of field exploration and indoor analysis. It was founded that maturity of sandstone in the Lower Cretaceous system in Zhenyuan area is intermediate and intensity of diagenesis is relatively light. There lies intimate relationship between uranium mineralization and the three diagenetic stages of syngenesis, early diagenesis and epidiagenesis. Analysis of uranium mineralization condition showed that there are some disadvantages in shallower strata of Lower Cretaceous system in Zhenyuan area. Discovery of uranium anomaly and approach of transitional zone of oxidation-reduction implied that exploration of uranium should be transferred to deeper strata. (authors)
