Description
The basic parameters of in vivo magnetic resonance (MR) spectra of patients with tumors of various kinds are described. The 1H MR spectra were measured for 66 patients. Examples of spectra unfolding are given for astrocytomas, craniofaryngiomas, ependymomas, medulloblastomas, etc. The results give evidence that qualitative interpretation of 1H MR spectra can be of particular value in the monitoring of the time development of metabolic changes in tumors and surrounding areas. 8 figs., 21 refs
