Rhenium influence on the structure and paramagnetic susceptibility of tungsten monocrystals
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Metallofiziki
Description
The investigation is concerned with the substructure of monocrystals of tungsten and its alloys with rhenium (up to 4 at.%), which are obtained by electron-beam zone recrystallization toward < 100 > and < 110 >. Parallelepiped samples (2X2X10 mm) of similar crystallographic faces, cut at 0, 45 and 90 deg to growth direction, have been used to study paramagnetic susceptibility. Crystallographic susceptibility anisotropy is shown to be absent in the crystalls of tungsten and its alloys. The susceptibility anisotropy detected in relation to the direction of monocrystal growth is associated with preferential distribution of admixtures and dislocations against the same direction
