Effect of additional alloying on discontinuous decomposition in Ni-Cr-Nb system alloys

Description
Factors which affect the completeness of discontinuous decomposition, position and length of temperature-time range of its development, are analyzed on the basis of investigation of peculiarities of structural transformations in precipitation-hardening alloys of the N71Kh20B9 type, alloyed additionally (at the nickel expense) with different elements. The role of adsorpsion activity of alloying elements, degree of their participation in excess phase formation, value of size discrepancy of lattice parameters of matrix solid solution and excess phase in the development of discontinuous decomposition process is found out
