Interaction of quasi-one-dimensional NbSe3 crystals with electromagnetic radiation in the SHF range

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kharkov. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst. Nizkikh Temperatur

Description

Non-linear properties and impedance characteristics of NbSe3 quasi-one-dimensional crystals in the SHF-range at room temperature are studied. The technology of filament monocrystal production is described. The volt-watt sensitivity of the samples to SHF-radiation and the coefficient of dead water characterizing agreement of the sample with the signal source within 8-12 GHz frequency range are measured. The volt-watt sensitivity is 1-2 orders higher than that of the known detectors (Josephson detectors on hat carriers, diodes with Schottky barrier, semiconducting point-contact SHF-detectors). Sensitivity of the in-- vestigated detectors weakly depends on the shift current
