MR angiography of the upper abdomen
Description
This paper evaluates the clinical usefulness of two-dimensional time-of-flight MR angiography using a selective fat-suppression RF pulse to visualize hepatoportal vascular anatomy and abnormalities of the liver and the pancreas. MR studies were performed on a 1.5-T machine (signa, General Electric). Two-dimensional time-of- flight MR angiography was performed with a gradient recalled acquisition in a steady state technique with a frequency- selective fat-suppression RF pulse. Eighteen cases of liver disease (11 hepatocellular carcinomas, three liver cirrhosis, two portovenous fistulas, two metastatic liver tumors) six cases of biliary tract disease (five cholangiocarcinomas, one gallbladder carcinoma), and six pancreatic carcinomas were studied
