Description

Mr=559.85, monoclinic, P21/c, a=7.430(1), b=8.700(1), c=10.668(2) A, β=105.08(1)0, V=665.8(3) A3, Z=4, Dx=5.58 Mg m-3, λ(Mo Kα)=0.7107 A, μ(Mo Kα)=30.1 mm-1, F(000)=944, room temperature, R(F)=0.052, wR=0.065 for 2974 independent reflexions. The UO7 and NbO5 polyhedra are similar to those of KNbUO6 and RbNbUO6, with a nearly collinear uranyl group normal to the plane of five secondary bonds around U6+. These polyhedra are also linked in slabs with Cs+ between them. However, inside the linkage is different, probably owing to the larger size of the Cs+ ion. (orig.)
