Highlights: • The effect of electron density fluctuations on critical temperature in layered superconductors was investigated. • The influence of thickness of conducting layer in superconducting compounds on the critical temperature Tc was analysed. • Obtained results are applied to Bi2Sr2Can1CunO2n+4+δ compounds with n = 1,2,3. - Abstract: In this work, we analyse the effect of electron density fluctuations of in layered superconductors on the transition temperature Tc. Primarily, we consider the effect of thickness of conducting layer in modelling of superconducting compounds. It is observed that increasing the thickness of conducting layers increases the transition temperature Tc. Also it is shown that, the fluctuations of electron density has negligible character in the case layers with highly different dielectric constants. Obtained results are applicable to Bi2Sr2Can1CunO2n+4+δ compounds with n = 1,2,3.
