Theoretical review of SS 433

  • 1. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, N. Mex.
  • 2. Illinois University, Urbana, Ill.

Description

The twin jet model for SS 433 is described, and its probable superiority to other models is demonstrated. The twin jet model is then used as a framework within which the implications of the main observational results are discussed. The moving line kinematics, the emission of the moving lines, the acceleration of the jets, and the jet precession are examined in the framework of the model
