Effect of channel orientation on heat transfer under nitrogen forced two-phase flow

Description

The effect of channel orientation on heat exchange in nitrogen two-phase flow is studied experimentally. Data, characterizing the distribution of temperature difference over the tube cross section, the dependence of heat transfer coefficient on heat flux density and the effect of mass flow rate and steam content on temperature difference at different orientation of experimental channel, are obtained. The conclusion is made that deviation of the channel axis from vertical position results in the intensification of heat transfer in upper boundary of the channel. With increase of the mass flow rare above 600-650 kg/(m2xs) in the channel 14.1 mm in-diameter the flattening of the temperaturet profile takes place, which testifies to transition to heat transfer modes independent of gravitation
