Description

Spectral-luminescent properties of nanosized dielectric powders Y(1-x)ErxPO4 and Y(1-x)ErxVO4 (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1) excited to levels 4I13/2, 4I11/2, 4I9/2, 4S3/2 of Er3+ ions were investigated. For the above concentration series of nanosized powders the regularities of the appearance of anti-Stokes luminescence from 4S3/2, 4F9/2 and 4I9/2 levels of Er3+ ions, as well as broadband emission registered in the visible spectral range, are revealed. The mechanism of occurrence of this broadband radiation is refined and discussed.
