Description

IR spectra of lanthanide oxocuprates of Ln2CuO4 composition, where Ln La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, and solid solutions on their basis are studied in 4000-50 cm-1 region. It is shown that when x = 0.5 and at different combinations of lanthanides: a) Ln1 = La, Ln2 = Sm; b) Ln1 = Pr, Ln2 Sm, Eu, Gd; c) Ln1 = Nd, Ln2 = Sm, all investigated solid solutions of Ln2(1-x)1Lnx2CuO4 have a structure similar to that of Ln2CuO4, where Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd with planosquare coordination of copper in CuO4 fragment. 21 refs., 3 figs., 4 tabs
