While providing a table indicating consumptions of various oil-based products by steam crackers, productions of steam crackers, olefins produced by refineries, raw materials used for the production of aromatic compounds in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and by commenting these figures, this publication analyses the activity of the petrochemical sector in France, a sector which consumes more than 10 per cent of the overall oil products as raw materials
