Legal regulations governing workplace monitoring in radioisotope laboratories
Description
Legal regulations governing workplace monitoring in radioisotope laboratories are presented and compared on the basis of the West German and Swiss Radiation Protection Ordinances and the pertinent EC standards. The following subjects are covered: Application of the fundamentals of radiation protection; requirements to be met for licenses to handle radioisotopes; classification of monitored areas; requirements on radiation monitoring. The possible consequences of the new ICRP recommendations are discussed. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Anhand der Strahlenschutzverordnungen der Schweiz und der Bundesrepublik sowie der EG-Grundnormen werden die gesetzlichen Grundlagen des Strahlenschutzes, soweit sie sich auf die Arbeitsplatzueberwachung in Radioisotopenlaboratorien beziehen, dargestellt und verglichen. Insbesondere werden angesprochen: Anwendung der Strahlenschutzgrundsaetze; Anforderungen fuer die Umgangsgenehmigung; Einteilung von Strahlenschutzbereichen; Anforderungen an die Ueberwachung. In einem Ausblick werden moegliche Auswirkungen der Anwendung der neuen ICRP-Empfehlungen diskutiert. (orig.)Additional details
