CaO-SnO2-Nb2O5 system in subsolidus region

Description
In subsolidus region phase equilibria in the system CaO-SnO2-Nb2O5 at 1300 deg C have been studied. A ternary compound Casub(1.6)Snsub(1.2)Nbsub(1.2)Osub(7) with pyrochlore crystal structure is detected. When gallium and niobium are substituted for tin in the compound the limiting solid solution corresponds to the composition Casub(1.6)Snsub(0.4)Gasub(0.4)Nbsub(1.6)Osub(7), which can be connected with tin cation located over A and B positions in the structure of initial ternary oxide
