Stellarator program of the Institute of General Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences

Description

Modern state of investigations on high-temperature plasma confinement in closed magnetic traps of stellarator tupe are briefly described. A program of physical investigations carried out in the laboratory of plasma physics of the Institute of General physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences is presented. Main principles of the stellarator operation are given in general, results obtained during last years are summerized. Problems for stellarator program, in particular a problem for the new L-2M installation are formulated
