The German support for dismantlement of decommissioned nuclear submarines in Russia in 2005. This report is on progress in execution of several projects funded by Germany. • Organisational structure of the German-Russian cooperation effort. • Project for dismantlement of multi compartment reactor units. • Enhancements of nuclear submarine dismantlement infrastructure at the Nerpa shipyard. • Repair of a floating dock to relocate submarine reactor compartments. • Construction of pontoons and procurement of heavy lift and transport equipment for relocation of reactor compartments. • Beginning of construction of the storage facility of reactor compartments in Saida bay located in Northwest Russia.
