Description
Data acquisition system for BES II Vertex Chamber (VC) is a part of data acquisition system of BES II. The electronic system is based on Fastbus standard. The author describes the hardware architecture and software of the system. The software system consists of microcode for Fastbus system and upper-layer control software. The total dead time of the subsystem is estimated to be 1.5 ms, and the dead time that is contributed by VC DAQ system to whole BES II DAQ system is less than 0.5 ms
