Hydrogen in climate protection. Class instead of mass. Statement
Description
Hydrogen can be an important building block for the goal of greenhouse gas neutrality, but only if it is produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way and used sparingly. The production of green hydrogen requires large amounts of renewable electricity and thus indirectly uses land, raw materials and water. Therefore, hydrogen should only be used where there are no more efficient options for climate protection. A complete decarbonisation of the economy can only succeed if less energy is consumed overall.

Additional details
