Preparation of strontium tellurite monocrystals
- 1. Dnepropetrovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (Ukrainian SSR)
Description
Experimental results on preparation of SrTeO3 crystals by Czochralski method are presented. The quantity of forming tellurates in the process of growing-up of strontium telluride crystals is insignificant. Crystals grow in the atmosphere of TeO2 vapours due to high degree of volatility of tellurium dioxide. Crystallization is complicated by the presence of phase transformation at 1293 K. That's why the composition of initial charge with 20% of excess of paratellurite is optimal for preparation of SrTeO3 crystals. Results of thermographical measurements permitted to determine values of heat and changes of entropy during the phase transformation of the 1st type
