Fine structure of the transition layer between the plasma flow and a transverse magnetic field

Description
Some features of the steady-state plasma flow interacting with a transverse magnetic field depending on the plasma density are considered. Expressions are given for an estimation of the relative contribution of polarization electric fields and inductive magnetic ones in processes that take place in a transient layer between the plasma flow and the transverse magnetic field. Both analytical method and numerical calculation are used to study the distribution of different values in the transient layer. The possibility of temperature elevation in the plasma layer is shown
