Cross sections for production of 81Kr in the reactions /sup A/>81Kr(p,pXn)81Kr and 80Kr(n,γ)81Kr

Description

A technique is described and results are presented for measurement of the total cross section for the reactions /sup A/>81Kr(p,pXn)81Kr and the cross section for 86Kr(p,pn)85Kr for 600-MeV protons, and also the cross sections for 80Kr(n,γ)81Kr for reactor neutrons. The values obtained are sigma(p,pXn) = 35 +- 3 mb, sigma(p,pn) = 36.7 +- 0.8 mb, and sigma(n,γ) = 12.5 +- 0.4 +- 2.6 b
