Synthesis and investigation of some tungsten bronzes of rare earth elements
- 1. Tomskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Tungsten bronges of rare-earth elements (REE) LnxWO3(Ln-La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Gd, Lu) are synthesized. Existence region for LnxWO3 bronzes, where x changes from 0.05 up to 0.2, is determined. By means of L3-spectroscopy it is found, that in tungsten bronzes the rare-earth elements occur mainly in trivalent state. Bronzes obtained belong to the pointed semiconductors with 0.4-0.9 eV energy gap. Semiconductor conductivity changes to metallic one with temperature increase
